The Colonel Joseph Glover Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR) is a vibrant group of women dedicated to preserving the memory of our Revolutionary War ancestors, promoting historical education, and serving our community. We are part of the larger National Society Daughters of the American Revolution, a lineage-based membership service organization for women directly descended from a person involved in the United States’ efforts towards independence.
Founded in 1890, the DAR is a national volunteer service organization with a mission to honor our heritage and build a stronger future. If you’re a woman 18 or older with a lineage connecting you to the American Revolution, you’re eligible to join!
Our Walterboro chapter, established in 1962 and named after Colonel Joseph Glover, meets regularly from September to May. We host engaging programs and speakers, and we’d love for you to join us.
