Regent: To perpetuate the memory and the spirit of the men and women who achieved American Independence; to promote the development of an enlightened public opinion; and to foster patriotic citizenship – these are the objects of our National Society Daughters of the American Revolution.

Chaplain: Our Father in Heaven, we thank You for Your abiding presence in the life of our country. We thank You for all those yesterdays of the human race whose lessons and fulfillments have become a heritage to us. Continue, we pray, Your blessings upon this nation that all who are a part of it may learn true nobility of manhood and womanhood. Grant us growth in understanding and increasing devotion to righteousness. In Your Holy Name we pray. Amen
THE PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE
TO THE FLAG OF
THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA
I pledge allegiance to the Flag of the United States of America and to the republic for which it stands, one nation under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all.
The American’s Creed
I believe in the United States of America as a government of the people, by the people, for the people; whose just powers are derived from the consent of the governed; and democracy in a republic, a sovereign nation of many sovereign states, a perfect union, one and inseparable, established upon those principles of freedom, equality, justice and humanity for which American patriots sacrificed their lives and fortunes.
I therefore believe it is my duty to my country to love it; to support its Constitution; to obey its laws; to respect its Flag; and to defend it against all enemies.

I, salute the Flag of South Carolina and pledge to the Palmetto State love, loyalty, and faith.

We the People of the United States, in Order to form a more perfect Union, establish Justice, insure domestic Tranquility, provide for the common defense, promote the general Welfare, and secure the Blessing of Liberty to ourselves and our Posterity, do ordain and establish this Constitution for the United States of America.

Oh, say can you see, by the dawn’s early light,
What so proudly we hailed at the twilight’s last gleaming?
Whose broad stripes ad bright stars thru’ the perilous fight,
O’er the ramparts we watched were so gallantly streaming?
And the rockets’ red glare the bombs bursting in air,
Gave proof thru’ the night that our flag was still there.

O’er the land of the free and the home of the brave?
